Pouring out a sampler of your neighborhood bar and brewery
There’s something about a good pub that draws people together and makes it a hub of the community.
Silver Branch, in downtown Silver Spring, MD, just a bratwurst’s throw from Silver Spring Metro Station, is one such hub.
Founded in January 2017 by Christian Layke and Brett A. Robison, Silver Branch specializes in hand-poured draughts of beer brewed on site with inspirations from European and American beer traditions. They offer a wide selection of brews – along with European and American inspired bar fare foods – with the aim that “the last sip of your last beer is as pleasing as the first sip of your first beer.”1
The cozy pub has quickly become a haven for regulars and those seeking a fun night out alike with new releases of beer brewed on site, frequent events from game nights to themed parties, and partnerships with other community businesses.
